Enfield Children's Fund (ECF) has now come to an end. We would like to express sincere thanks to everyone who has been involved in the delivery of the services it has funded and all those who have supported its management, its work and its projects: the roll call includes ECF staff and Board members past and present, consortium leads and all hardworking project staff including volunteers, not forgetting the children and young people who contributed by advising and evaluating the programme.

National Government has decided that it will not continue with the Children's Fund in its current format, placing the new continuation monies within the Local Area Agreement, which is overseen by the Enfield Children's Trust.

ECF central team, Barbara and Caroline are moving into the newly formed Integrated Commissioning Team, which will report to the Children's Trust.

For the future, we hope that the ECF legacy will live on for many years to come and that early intervention and prevention will be embedded in the delivery of children's services.

What is the Children’s Fund?

Children's Funds were set up by the Government to make children and families feel happier, safer and better-supported when they are having problems in life.

Enfield Children Fund helps to ensure that children have the support they need with problems now, so that as children get older, their problems don't get worse. Enfield Children's Fund provides services for children aged 5-13 and their families, and has been funded to continue this provision until March 2008.
