 Play & Leisure
Under Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, all children and young people have the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to age, and to take part in cultural life and the arts. The Government is required to promote this right and to encourage the provision of appropriate and equal opportunities for cultural, recreational and leisure activities. Enfield Children and Young Persons' Services (ECYPS) is leading a consortium of local voluntary and statutory service providers to increase play and leisure opportunities for children in Enfield, particularly for children with disabilities, young carers and children from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
